Previously i have written a review on Vodafone k3770-z.The Vodafone K3770-z is recently launched USB data card for strong competition with Idea and TATA Docomo 7.2 Mbps series modems.This modem has beautiful slim look with white and red color combination.Vodafone k3770-z is actually zte made modem.Wich gives you high speed down link speed upto 7.2 Mbps and up link speed up to 5.76 in 3G signal.Well,We are talking about unlocking of vodafone k3770-z.As per my opinion windows 7 user don’t need to unlock.Your modem is factory unlocked,But Vodafone default dashboard (VMB Lite ) not allow to connect any other SIM card,but you can connect to any network by dial up connection or Mobile broadband connection.Here i will show you how to use non-vodafone simcard without unlocking vodafone k3770-z. Unlocking by firmware or unlocking code or any tool like DC-unlocker may avoid your warranty.Benefit of this solution is that you did not loose your warranty.
Direct Unlock Vodafone K3770-z ZTE Modem :-
- First download Vodafone K3770-z Unlock Dashboard and run setup file.
- After completing installation;Start the Vodafone dashboard.See in following screenshot i am getting airtel network in Mobile broadband connection.Here i am using Airtel simcard.you can use any simcard with your vodafone modem.
- When the vodafone mobile broadband dashboard starts,Pop up box appears saying “SIM not recognised” ignore this warning and click on Click on CLOSE.Refer the follow screen shot;
- Vodafone default dashboard (VMB Lite ) not allow to connect any other SIM card,but you can connect to any network by dial up connection or Mobile broadband connection.
- Here i will show you in next step how to use non-vodafone simcard without unlocking vodafone k3770-z.you can still access other features of vodafone dashboard like sms,manual network selection.
Here i am using airtel simcard.I will show you how to configure mobile broadband connection for airtel;Its damn easy thing. - One simple thing that you need is APN (access point name) of your network provider.
- Now right click on your mobile broadband connection as shown in screenshot and select properties.Now new box appears,Navigate to Profile tab and enter your APN in the box and click on OK.
